Extra long bunk beds?

I'm looking for a bunk/loft bed for my 8 year old son, he is very tall so I would like to find an xl twin or xl full with the bed. If that's not possible a bed without a foot board would probably work, wouldn't be ideal though. Is there anywhere online anyone can suggest or possibly an alternative idea? Or any stores you know of? I need the bed to be an all in one as well because the room he is in is smaller. (Mostly needed for the dresser drawers, not a computer desk or anything.) I have looked at a few online and have found some that I like but would like to keep the pricing under $1000 if possible. Thanks for your help!

I know the feeling. Was in the same boat. I couldn't justify $2000.00 for (2) cheaply made bunk beds, so I built them myself. Materials was about $250 for both sets and it took about a week and a half from 1st cut to final coat of poly. You can build them extra long for the growing reason. Mine are 6 1/2 ft long and will hold a 500 lb. person, with space underneath for a full size desk. Overbuilt them so the kids can take them to college.

If you know someone with the skills, you could build a better set at a fraction of the price.
