How can I remove Permanent Marker Ink from Furniture Cloth?

We had some visitors over that had a small kid. After they left, we figured out their kid had marked many of our furniture with permanent marker. Alcohol worked and took out some of the marks, but still some didn't. Is there anything else that can fix them without ruining the furniture cloth?

you may have to test a patch on the furniture first....but nail polish remover (with acitone) usually works for me.
