Bookcase Book

They making a come back and are being received extremely well. I'm talking about revolving bookcases, which were very popular in the late 1800s and the early 1900s. The bookcases are mainly made in Eugene, Oregon in the state of Portland. The company that produces them has been making wood shelving systems and shipping all over the world.
They can hold an ample number of books which can be in all sizes. They are made in a traditional method where fixed shelves and slots are molded into solid wood side panels and adjustable shelves. There are those magazines and books that take up a lot of space with the fixed shelves of the revolving bookcases.
You will therefore find the adjustable shelves helpful because they will hold everything like the following items.
* Oversize reference books
* Paperbacks
* Memorabilia and curios
* Computers and laptops
* CDs and DVDs
When you have the revolving bookcases, you will have an equivalent of a small library in your home. The bookcases are highly versatile and they are also referred to as carousel bookcases. You will find them in a variety of styles and materials. You can store a large number of things. The revolving top section is supported by small castors.
You can store many books in the shelves of the revolving section. There are various types of these bookcases and they include the following.
* Solid mahogany 3 tier
* Exquisite hand carved 2 tier mahogany bookcase
* 5 tier library
Traditionally revolving bookcases were constructed using high quality wood like oak and mahogany. They will provide a luxurious feel to your home and you will enjoy every minute of their presence. They were made with 2 shelves on each side traditionally.
But over the years, revolving bookcases have witnessed great changes in tradition and you have to constantly adapt to the new styles that spice up life. One of the modern aspects of these cases is the fact that they can be stacked up easily and safely. They can also be used as end tables.
They are extremely flexible because you can turn one section at a time rather than move the whole structure. One thing that has not changed is the material to create the item which is still wood. Other materials that can be used are hard plastic and metal.
Bookcases will be available in many colors and designs which range from contemporary to traditional. They will save a lot of space in your home because they hardly take up a lot. Plus, they will be adding beauty and charm to your room.
It is paramount that you take time and search for bookcases that will be right for you. Search through your local store and decide which bookcase you will prefer. You can also do your search online where you will definitely find a variety of products.
Have a certain budget as you search for your item, remember you can dig deep to find products that will be very affordable with the right quality. Take caution with the bookcases especially while storing breakables in the upper shelves. Children can easily reach them. Also, kids will want to spin the shelves just for fun but, keep safety first.

Please help! I have a destructive 3 year old that I'm strugling to control?
I have a 3 year old boy who recently has become destructive. It's an everyday occurrence, but in just the last 3 days, he has painted my kitchen floor and living room rug with black paint, cut my cell phone charger in several pieces, cut the net off his basketball hoop, destroyed a potted plant, spreading the debris over 20 feet, intentionally broke christmas ornaments, wrote on walls and doors with marker...etc. This seems to be getting worse every day. He's never alone for more than a few minutes when this happens, and I've done all I can to hide everything from him (paint, markers scissors, knives), but he will stack 2 or 3 chairs on top of each other to find them. Is this normal behavior that he'll grow out of, or do I need more help?
He is otherwise a delightful child. He gets along with others in school and church, he doesn't hurt other people or try to hit me. He seems happy and well adjusted in every other facet of his life.
Hello Jenni D,
I have three daughters, although they have all passed the stage of writing on walls and things of that nature. My youngest daughter was the worse, she would deliberately go out of her way to make herself be known.
We could not understand why she was so defiant, and like your 3 year old she was a real pleasure to take out and had many cute ways.
At first, we thought she was looking for attention, but this was not really the case, being the youngest ensured she had plenty of care love and interaction with others.
I personally come from a large family, and when I mentioned about my youngest daughter being destructive, my mum laughed, she told me I was terrible as a kid, and broke many things around the home.
Maybe we inherit some things, I really do not have a right or wrong answer for you, but know as a parent, kids go through stages, and fortunately my daughters grew out of the destructive stage.
I personally believe, that as a 3 year old, it's easier to create havoc in the home, than to be creative.
I hope this information will shed some light on your problem, and welcome to the joys of being a parent lol.
Paul M.

Boys Kids

Easy steps to follow for Cutting boys or kids hair at home. This is just a great way to save time and money by knowing how to cut your kids hair. Plus it can be way to earn a little spending money on the side. No matter it your just a little interested or wanting to learn how to cut boys or girls hair. Either way you need to keep the hair cut simple and easy to manage, and for girls, keep their the ends trimmed on a regular bases. Especially if their hair is long, this is to avoid trying to brush out knotted hair that just pulls and hurts their head. I put together below a mini how to cut kids hair at home guide. This should help you with your confidence and build experience when it comes to cutting your kids hair.
Things needed for cutting at home:
* Sharp part of hair scissors
* Comb and brush
* hair clips
* Mirror or two
* Spray bottle with Water
How to cut kids hair at home:
1. One of the best ways to relax your kids before cutting is to show them all the things your going to use for cutting their hair and to make it as fun as possible for them. Once you talk to them about this they will be more relaxed and ready to have you cut their hair.
2. Be sure to wet the hair first. Much easier to cut the hair wet. A shampoo and condition will do the trick.
3. Before cutting try to have an idea of the length of hair that you want to cut. If your child has curly hair. I recommend cutting it dry. This is to avoid the hair springing back to short once it drys.
4. No need to rush just take your time, keeping the amount or length of the cuts small at first. The less you cut the less likely you have in making a mistake and cutting too much off.
5. kids will move their little body's and heads around. They are after all kids. So to avoid any mistakes or cutting any incorrect lengths. Just comb small sections with the hair that you want to cut and having the hair in between your middle and index finger. Once you slide you fingers down to the desired length to cut. Just press firmly together these two finger with the hair. That way when the child move their head around you have already determine the length and as long as the hair hasn't moved from your fingers the cut can still be done correctly.

When people talk about bringing the soldiers home, why do they refer to them as "boys" or "kids"?
We are talking about some of the bravest and strongest men and women of our country! I don't consider our army, navy, marines, etc made up of children. These are men and women who live to protect our country and we are saying this like they need our protection. I understand we want our families home and I'm not disputing that. My problem is refering to them as boys or kids that aren't able to protect themselves and need us to stand up for them and protect them. Like everyone else, I want them home, but I also think we should respect them for the soldiers they are.
Our son is in the Navy. He's 26 and far from a boy. But neither he nor us ever take offense to him being referred to as a "boy." You have to look at in context. It's more a term of affection. And, as American citizens, we DO need to stand up for them and even protect them in a sense.
And maybe it's because I look at ALL of them through the eyes of a military mom, but they are all just "boys" to me. Age has nothing to do with it. They're all MY boys, doesn't matter the uniform. I've traded more hugs with them than you can imagine. Because when you're far from home, sometimes you really need a hug from mom. And when your mom isn't around, another mom can sometimes fill that gap a little. Our son has also received a ton of hugs from moms that weren't me. I'm thankful for that. And as long as they stay "boys", I think it helps people to remember that it could be THEIR boy--their kid. And don't you always worry a little more about your own "kids"?
Just a mom's thought.
And just in case it got lost in the shuffle some place, I do thank you for your concern!
